A Ray of Hope

I walked through the desert sand
when the sun was scorching bright
life's problems were peanuts
as I came across those women and
their pretty faces with dripping sweats
carrying pots on their heads
walking miles in search of water
with a ray of hope to quench the thirst
of the children at home in anticipation
